IN MEMORY OF RICHARD CRAVEN BINNS

1943 - 2017

Dawn’s dad, Richard Craven Binns started butchering from the age of just 15 years old. He built up a successful family business as a Butcher and was also the chief judge at Skipton Auction Mart’s monthly prime shows.

Dawn worked with her dad up until she was 40 years old, her dad taught her all she knows and all she needed to be a successful butcher. Thanks to all her dad taught her Dawn was then able to then start her own business Silsden Butchers to follow in her fathers foot steps and build up a successful business just like he did.

Richard spent his last days working for Dawn, Terry and Tyler at Silsden Butchers. This was nice, as Dawn started working for her dad as he trained her up and he was able to then continue working alongside her and spend time working in her business and seeing what had been achieved from the time he put into teaching his daughter.

Dawn is forever grateful for all that her father taught her and he will always be part of Silden Butchers and be with us in our memories.
